Summary

  • Any physical activity is better than none! Exercise benefits your muscles, blood pressure, blood sugar, stress and sleep.

  • You can break up exercise into 10-minute sessions to make it easier.

  • Try resistance bands during dialysis or walk around your home when taking phone calls.

  • If you are worried about exercising, speak to your doctor first.

  • Stop exercising immediately if you have chest pain, feel dizzy, have leg cramps, neck pain or blurry vision. Tell your doctor and call 000 in an emergency.
